LANAP periodontal surgery is a full-mouth procedure. It is  completed in two to three visits. One side of the mouth is completed during the first visit, and a week later the other side is completed. Patient can go back to their normal activity soon after the treatment.

The first few days following the surgery patient  may experience mild soreness near the gums- generally we advice a paracetamol. The gum tissues around the teeth may appear slightly discolored. Splints may be required in some situations to stabilize and immobilize the teeth.

Follow a soft diet as recommended by your treating dentist.

Do not smoke. Smoking interferes with the healing process by impairing the body’s defense mechanisms.
